Sunshine over Dhaulagiri and Himchuli, Thursday, 30.5.2013

May/June can bring very bad weather for hikers in the Himalayas but we were lucky: the day we hiked the high ridge from Ghorepani to Deorali and then on to Tadapani started with bright sunshine. I was up at sunrise. In the afternoon it started to rain and we arrived in Tadapani soaked through.

Every morning people light ritual incense sticks on the treshold of their houses.

Shortly after sunrise the planes fly over the saddle to reach Jomsom.
